JCB Owner Privacy Policy

1. About GURUOM

GURUOM is a technology-driven intermediary platform operated by Guru Dev Cortex ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") that facilitates the connection between customers and independent JCB owners. As a JCB owner on the platform, you operate as an independent business entity and shall not be construed as an employee of Guru Dev Cortex in any capacity. This Privacy Policy sets out the manner in which we collect, use, and safeguard your information in connection with your use of the GURUOM Owner application ("App").

2. Information We Collect

We collect your name, registered mobile number, selfie photograph, and Aadhaar card number for the purpose of one-time identity verification during the onboarding process.

We collect your JCB's registration number, RC Book details, insurance documentation, and machine photographs solely to verify that your machinery is legally registered and validly insured.

We collect your real-time GPS location exclusively while you are in an Online status within the App. Location tracking ceases immediately and automatically upon you going Offline or closing the App at any time.

Work session timestamps are recorded exclusively in accordance with your in-App actions. The session record reflects the actions performed by you and does not constitute independent verification or endorsement of the timing by the Company.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Verify your identity and the legal validity of your documentation during onboarding
• Connect you with nearby Order requests when you are in an Online status
• Record work session duration in accordance with your in-App actions, as reflected in the work session report
• Provide platform support and assist in the resolution of eligible disputes

4. Aadhaar Data Protection

Your Aadhaar number is collected solely for the purpose of one-time identity verification during onboarding. It is stored securely within our systems, is never disclosed to customers, is never shared with any third party, and is permanently removed upon account deletion.

5. Wallet

The in-App wallet facilitates the recording and management of transactions related to App usage charges. The wallet does not store, process, or reflect any earnings, bank account details, or UPI credentials. No financial withdrawal feature exists within the wallet.

6. Third-Party Services

The Company engages trusted third-party service providers solely for the purpose of operating and improving the platform. Your data is handled responsibly and is not shared with any third party for advertising, marketing, or any commercial purpose unrelated to the operation of the App.

7. Data Security and Retention

Your data is protected through appropriate technical and organisational security measures, with access limited to authorised personnel only. Data is retained for the duration that your account remains active and is removed upon account deletion. Certain records may be retained for a limited period as required by applicable law.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of India. Jurisdiction: Surat, Gujarat.
